I took this photo on my first trip to Nalerigu, Ghana. The woman was a patient that Heidi saw on clinic day at the Baptist Medical Center. Last year I submitted it in one of my camera club’s photo contests and it got 4th place in the B/W category.
I just found out that it won 3rd place in the end-of-year “Print of the Year” competition. It’s exciting not only to have my work appreciated and recognized but to be able to share the beauty of West Africa with folks here in Middle Georgia.
