Sunset on Lake Wildwood

I’ve never been a good sunset photographer. I’ve just haven’t quite understood what makes a “good sunset photo.” Don’t get me wrong, I love a beautiful sunset as much as the next person – I just have a hard time making my camera capture the beauty I see with eye.

That said, this afternoon I stopped by Lake Wildwood to snap some photos of the sun going down. The sky was a beautiful orange and there weren’t any clouds to block the sun. I snapped several “ordinary” shots (like the first one below) and then started playing around with focus. My favorite stuff was the very abstract images where the colors and light bleed and blur across the frame.
