Listen to “A Paw in my Face”I first heard of The Field on NPR’s All Songs Considered and immediately started looking the band up online to hear more. It’s music is just up my alley – long, repetitive electronic tracks made up of beats and samples that glitch and scratch on and on. Axel Willner is the solo artist behind The Field so I was expecting to see him behind a laptop at the show. To my surprise he was accompanied by two other musicians and there wasn’t a laptop in sight! Every body in the room was swaying and bobbing to the minimal electronic beats he and this pals were cranking out – it was amazing.
