On July 27, 2009, shortly before leaving for Europe, I saw Daniel Bejar of Destroyer perform a solo acoustic set at The Earl in Atlanta, GA. Bejar is from Vancouver, British Columbia and is also a member of the bands Swan Lake and supergroup The New Pornographers.
My friend Aaron Joslin was visiting from St. Paul, MN and went to the show with me. On the way back we hit a deer at 60mph and destroyed the front of my car. The only injuries sustained were by the deer and they were fatal.
