Portraits of Puerto-Belen

For the past 18 days I’ve been in central Peru with a team of doctors & nurses. The first village they did a clinic in was the very remote Puerto-Belen. To give you an idea of how remote it is, it took us a 8 hour drive over the Andes in a bus, 10 hours of riding in the backs of pickup trucks on bumpy roads, and 5 hours heading upstream on the Rio Pichis in canoes. Here are some of the incredibly beautiful Ashaninka Indian people that I met.
