I joined the Middle Georgia Art Association at the start of the year and promptly entered my “A Frenzied Dance” image to their first judged exhibit of 2010:  ”Abstractions.”  I was pleasantly surprised to be awarded Honorable Mention for the show (had I gotten a 3rd place or higher I’d have come away with some cash!).

One of the benefits to membership in MGAA is that I can show my art at their gallery in Ingleside or downtown at the Market City Cafe. I’m hoping those two venues will lead to more opportunities to exhibit my work around Macon this year. I’m also looking forward to meeting more of the artists in my area.

The “Abstractions” exhibit is on display through February 12th so I encourage you to swing by and check out the art!
