It’s been three years since I’ve attended the big Indian festival held at the National Park’s Ocmulgee National Monument in Macon, Georgia. When we first attended in 2008 I got some wonderful images, one of which won me the 2008 Award of Excellence in Color at the Georgia National Fair.
This year I took a large matted print of that winning image to give the dancer who was its subject (on the right). He wasn’t there this year, but I did find out his name and sent the image to him in Oklahoma via some of his colleagues. I hope he and his family enjoy the image for years to come.
